Officials confirmed that at least 13 people were transported to the hospital, with one individual requiring airlifting, as reported by Telemundo 51 Miami. The number of occupants on each vessel, one of which was a tourist boat, remains unknown. Fortunately, as of Monday evening, no fatalities have been reported. Reports from WSVN 7News suggest that up to 29 people may have sustained injuries. Division Chief Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Horacio Rodriguez stated, "We got a report that 20-somewhat patients were affected."

An investigation into the cause of the crash is currently underway. Rabbi Yossi Harlig of the Chabad Center of Kendall shared with NBC Miami the ordeal faced by his sister, brother-in-law, and their four children, who were on one of the boats and among the injured.

"My sister broke some bones; her husband broke some ribs. They feel a lot of pain for what happened and are concerned about the kids," Rabbi Harlig said. "But they also feel thankful to God they were on the left side of the boat, where the boat came in. The children were on the right side of the boat, and they feel thankful that the kids weren't on their side of the boat."

The family was celebrating one of the boy's bar mitzvahs at the time of the incident. Rabbi Harlig recounted his sister turning around at the last second and witnessing the boat crashing into her. He emphasized the trauma experienced by the family and expressed concern that no child should witness such an accident, seeing their parents on the floor and others bleeding.
