One question that you may have for us here at ShipXplorer is this: How do we stand out from the rest of the competition?
In this blog post, we will go into detail about the sort of solutions and products that we have on offer to the Maritime world!
Without further ado, let's get into it!
Vessel Data Solutions
The Image Above: ShipXplorer also has Vessel Data Solutions on hand, offering customizable & economical vessel tracking.
Within ShipXplorer, we offer a variety of real-time and scalable data in regard to data on specific vessels around the world.
Using data from our AIS stations, we are able to provide different aspects of data, such as destination, origin, vessel name, IMO number, and more!
We are also one of the very few companies that can offer this, which shows the uniquities of ShipXplorer.
AIS Hardware
Here at ShipXplorer, we also offer our own range of AIS hardware that will allow feeders and companies to track vessels within a certain mile radius.
We offer three different products for this:
The Image Above: The ShipXplorer AIS Dongle.
ShipXplorer AIS Dongle: Track global vessel movements in real-time with ShipXplorer’s AIS Dongle. This high-performance dual-channel AIS USB Receiver decodes AIS transmissions and enables the reception of AIS messages and data directly onto devices such as a Raspberry Pi or Laptop.

ShipXplorer AIS Antenna: ShipXplorer’s omnidirectional AIS Antenna is optimized for long-range, dual channel (Channel A and B) 162 MHz VHF reception. It also ships with a 30 ft cable (SMA connector). Meant for outdoor use, this antenna is built with a fiberglass & aluminum alloy and can weather prolonged exposure to the elements.

ShipXplorer SeaRange AIS Receiver: SeaRange is ShipXplorer’s newest 162 MHz, dual-channel AIS receiver. This brand-new model includes an added filter and an inbuilt amplifier that is designed to optimize AIS reception on both 162.025 MHz & 161.975 MHz frequencies. The receiver ships with a 30 ft cable (SMA connector), power supply adapter, and ethernet wires. This is a stand-alone unit, so no extra hardware or software is needed for it to run.
