A familiar cruise ship with a storied past is set to return to Southampton next month, marking the end of nearly a year away from the bustling port city. The Azamara Onward, a vessel with more than 25 years of global service, will dock in Southampton on June 11, 2025, following a scenic journey through Spain, France, and Jersey.
Initially launched in 1999, the ship has sailed under various names, including R Three and Pacific Princess, before being acquired by Azamara Cruises in 2022. Following its purchase from Princess Cruises, the vessel was renamed Azamara Onward and has since continued its tradition of delivering luxurious and immersive travel experiences.

Once docked, the ship will remain in port for the day before departing at 6:00 p.m., setting sail for a new voyage that includes stops in France, Portugal, and Spain, culminating in the vibrant city of Barcelona.
Renowned for its boutique-style cruising experience, Azamara Cruises focuses on destination-rich itineraries and more extended port stays, offering passengers a deeper connection to each destination. Azamara Onward continues this legacy, providing intimate, upscale cruising with a strong emphasis on cultural immersion.
Southampton remains one of the UK’s key cruise hubs, and the return of the Azamara Onward adds another highlight to a busy summer season at the port.
