Last week, a large cargo vessel that ran aground in Teignmouth Harbour, Devon, was successfully refloated. According to Rob Parsons, the Teignmouth harbour master, the ship was freed at approximately 18:00 BST and has since been safely berthed alongside the harbour wall. The vessel, which had departed from Amsterdam, was transporting a cargo of animal feed when it became stuck around 06:00.

Efforts to refloat the ship were timed with the evening tide, which proved successful. Harbour authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported among the crew.

Mr Parsons also noted that the vessel will be surveyed for any potential damage sustained during the grounding. Meanwhile, the UK's Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) stated it is aware of the incident and is currently "making initial inquiries" to determine the circumstances surrounding the grounding.
